UPCOMING SHOWS: Modern Man with Last Remaining Pinnacle and Knives and Daggers
WHAT IS IT?! It’s grungy jam! It’s sound! It’s noise rock! It’s the crashing, flowing magical sounds of deliciousness! And you have to see it to believe it!
Dear reader, step right up because the opportunity is here! For a sound experience you won’t get elsewhere, bring your listenin ears to the Radio Room tomorrow night. Of course you’ll see Last Remaining Pinnacle and Knives and Daggers but the cherry on top of this experimental sundae is Modern Man.
I have had the honor and privilege of seeing these guys in front of our orange at WSBF. You wouldn’t expect the sounds on their albums to actually come out of their instruments, but I assure you, they do! They are joined by shoegazy psychedelic rockers Last Remaining Pinnacle from Portsmouth, Virginia. Theytwo are on tour, and this strangely inspirational band will be all over South Carolina with Modern Man this week. They are also accompanied by Knives and Daggers, another experimental band hailing from Asheville, NC. So if you wanna get your post-rock thinkin caps on, go on down to the Radio Room.
And really, what are you going to do on a Wednesday night, loser? The only two acceptable options are going to watch Modern Man, or reading back-articles on We Are The Upstate (preferably on your smart phone in between sets at the Modern Man concert).
You can check out the intense melancholy filled, 80s inspired sounds of Knives and Daggers here.
You can check out the 70s inspired shag carpet covered sounds of Last Remaining Pinnacle here.
Or just jam out to the mélange of all that is good plus a bonus point for 90s influenced noise and a modern twist of Modern Man here: And enjoy the musical time-experience.
Concert: Wednesday, May 23rd at The Radio Room in Greenville, SC.
