For those familiar with Greenville, every 2 or 3 months I’ll hear someone reminiscing about shows at Ximenos. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the name, Ximenos is a Greenville skate park that used to host the occasional show but hasn’t for the past 5 years or so. Well that’s all about to change, and for a really good reason as Zillafest comes this Wednesday to support a good cause.

The original goal of the show was to benefit a toy drive that a grandfather had put together, but tragedy struck and the grandfather is in the hospital with stage 4 cancer. The show will now be a dual-benefit towards the grandfather and his toy drive. Tickets are $10 at the door for those under 21, and $15 for those over and that includes all you can drink (but you have the option to pay $10 and not drink.)

The bill itself has all kinds of genres associated with the skate park such as Punk/pop-punk bands Brigades and Then God Created Women, Hardcore heroes Islander, Lonely Are The Brave, Of The Ocean and others who aren’t quite as classifiable such as Shoot The Blitz and Akira.

The show starts at 7:30pm and goes to 1am, the skate park is at 17 International Ct. Greenville SC 29607. All proceeds go to a good cause, so come out and skate safe!
